Queers in Gaza

We are a queer group from Gaza. We call ourselves "Ward" (Rose) because roses come in diverse colors and shapes — we dream of a society as beautiful and diverse as roses.

We see queerness as part of the broader struggle against colonialism, racism, and patriarchy. We are not merely a reaction to oppression, but a space for storytelling, creativity, free thought, and a queer voice that speaks in our name and reflects our dreams.

We strive to create a safe space for expression, and to raise awareness and educate about our experiences and identities. We speak to our society in its own language and say: We Are Here.
